I approached Free2Learn initially looking for a Sales course for our team of Business Development Managers. I had a good idea of the course I was looking for, however, after speaking with one of the Free2Learn Managers, we arranged to meet and discuss our exact requirements.
When we met, I was presented with information on a number of qualifications which would have all been appropriate for my team. After careful consideration and ongoing discussions with Free2learn, it was decided that the most appropriate solution was to work very closely together to develop a customised 1-day workshop in Sales Techniques and Closing a Deal.
I was more than happy with the content used on the day and the trainer delivering the session for us really took the time to understand our business and the lens and optical industry on the whole. The feedback from my team was really positive and they all agreed that the session was useful and would like to introduce a quarterly workshop.
From my perspective, I am delighted to say the overall performance of the team has improved and spirits are high. I’m sure the training has had a positive impact on the team and I’m already in discussions with Free2Learn regarding the next workshop.
Free2Learn in partnership with URTU have taken full control of the learning offered to Burton Latimer site which has led to a considerable take up on various courses at all levels.
From the very beginning Free2Learn have liaised with everyone involved at Burton Latimer, learners and site management, and have accepted and accounted for business pressures that arise by demonstrating extreme flexibility for all parties.
All learners have been positive about their learning experience and about the considerable understanding shown by the Assessors as business needs have become demanding on their time.
In summary, Free2Learn have demonstrated a great knowledge of the subjects learners have chosen, have provoked diverse thoughts in the candidates whilst being flexible and accepting business demands. The Assessors are courteous, polite, and knowledgeable, demonstrate a great attention to detail whilst supporting candidates through busy business times that increase the pressure on the learner.
As Site Manager and a learner myself the process of level five has provoked considerable self-evaluation and has helped me to identify that my site is travelling in the opposite direction to the one I want or thought it was actually going. This thinking has helped me to explain to the site team at Burton Latimer how we can all work together to change the site culture and improve the current path we are following. My experience so far has been a real self-awakening and I would recommend attempting the level five to anyone that has responsibility for a team’s culture, either as a check of current direction or a way of learning how to shape the desired culture.
