Companies across UK are hiring for this festive season
Are you out of job this month? You are about to get a lucky strike. November is a unique opportunity to find a temporary role as UK top brands and companies are out there hunting for talents. Best case scenario: you are loving your temp position, and your manager asks you to carry it on to January 2018 and beyond.

Debenhams has loads of Christmas team jobs going across the country which you can apply for on the Debenhams careers site. Alternatively, you can text JOBS to 81066 for a link to apply. You’ll be starting in mid-November. Roles vary in the number of hours they offer but they generally pay £7.50 an hour.
If cosmetics are more your thing, there are a whole raft of Christmas retail roles at Boots this festive season. You can apply for a range of sales assistant and stockroom positions either full-time or part-time.
Temporary part-time sales advisor jobs are available at Superdrug but you need to be fully flexible to work any hours over the holidays and be ‘adaptable to change’. All workers qualify for a staff discount.
Seasonal jobs at John Lewis and Waitrose include selling assistant and ‘stock management partner’. You could be starting quite early, and the position will last for 13 weeks or less. Applications close at various dates in October.
Primark in on the lookout for temporary retail assistants to work 20-24 hours a week over Christmas. Hiring has already started so if you’re interested, get in there now!
Christmas temp jobs are going at Sports Direct around the UK. Benefits include a commission scheme, up to £7.50 an hour and a 20% staff discount. Contracts end on 7 January.
Marks & Spencer
Jobs are available at M&S from now right up until New Year. You’ll nab a 20% discount on all in-store and online purchases too. You can apply for various customer assistant jobs at the M&S Careers website.
Apply for one of Tesco’s ‘Festive Colleague’ jobs this Christmas. You can choose between day shifts and night shifts in locations across the UK.
The Toy Shop
If you fancy being surrounded by toys, grab a Christmas job at The Toy Shop. You could be recruited as a sales assistant, daytime stockroom assistant or night shift stockroom assistant. The latter does pay more, but you need to be physically fit. The Toy Shop pays fortnightly and you’ll get a 20% staff discount.
Argos has a whole host of sales assistant, stock assistant and home delivery driver jobs nationwide.
Join one of Royal Mail’s centres to help get letters and parcels to the right places in the run-up to Christmas. There are full-time and part-time indoor sorting positions on early, late and night shifts which will be available from early November until 23 December across the UK. Just be aware that you’ll need to be able to push trolleys weighing up to 250kg. You get paid a higher rate at the weekend.
