• Understand the principles and values in health and social care adults and children and young people, early years, and childcare
• Introductory awareness of equality and inclusion in health, social care, and children’s and young people’s settings Awareness of protection and safeguarding in health and  social care adults and children and young people, early years, and childcare
• Introduction to communication in health and social care adults and children and young people, early years and childcare
• Introductory awareness of health and safety in health, social care and children’s  and young people’s settings

Week 3: Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Dementia Care

• • Equality, diversity, and inclusion in dementia care
  • The person-centred approach to the care and support of individuals with dementia
  • Understand behaviour in the context of dementia
  • Understand the administration of medication to individuals with dementia using a person-centred approach
  • Dementia Awareness
  • Understand the Benefits of Engaging in Activities in Social Care
  • Understand the factors that can influence communication and interaction with individuals who have dementia

Week 4: Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Infection Controls 

• Understanding the principles of infection control
• Understanding the causes and spread of infection
• Principles of good practice in the prevention of infection
