Are you new to the UK? Did you have learning difficulties or is English your second language? Our FREE Maths and English courses are designed to help you develop your knowledge and skills in Maths and English.
Our functional skills course material is broken down into units and subjects that will set the foundation for your reading, writing and numeracy skills. During this course you will learn key life skills and aims, to build your confidence and self-esteem. You will complete an assessment for English and Maths first and then be registered for the correct class level.
This course is ideal for both English and non-English speakers and provides you with high-quality qualifications. Functional skills English and Maths will help you to move on to other courses including retail, warehousing, construction, and security – as well help you in your everyday life.

Eligibility
- 19 years or older
- Proof of benefits and an ID, such as valid passport or driving licence (provisional is also accepted together with birth certificate)
- If not British, we require a resident card/permit issued on the 2017 or before as a proof of living in the UK lawfully for more than 3 years.
- If you are a member of the EU, we require a picture of your passport, pre-settled or settled status shared code. Good level of English.
Entry Requirements
- No qualifications required but you must complete an English language assessment to check your starting level.
