Here we are again! Only a few days to go until Christmas: the long-lasting family dinner, the laughs, the joy… and your favorite auntie’s picture addiction! So as an early gift, we thought we would give a step by step guide to the perfect Xmas makeup & nails!
Step 1: Work your base
We will shout it if necessary: the base is ESSENTIAL to your makeup.
Cleanse and moisturise your face, then use a primer. After matching the correct foundation tone, you can apply your base. We used a cream contour, which we applied over the foundation and set it with a loose powder.
Step 2: Go Christmas-Eye
Gold, dark green, brown… Those are the colours you want to go for during the holidays.
Start by applying a nude eyeshadow under the eyebrows up to the eye socket. Enhance the inner corner of the eye using a light gold shadow and a darker eye shadow in the crease of the eyelid.
For a richer gold, we would recommend to use concealer on the eye socket, up to the crease, and to use a loose pigment colour.
Step 3: Go glamorous
For a real smoky look, we added a line of dark shadow on the lash lines. To capture the christmas spirit, we applied a dark green shadow along the lower lash line.
And as an eye makeup is never fully complete without a bit of eyeliner and mascara, that’s your next step!
Step 4: The final touch
You can add more glam’ with some false eyelashes, but that’s optional.
Finish this look with a lipstick of your choice (we went for a Christmas red), and you’ll be ready for the party 😉
