Get a Level 3 Qualification with the Life Time Skills Guarantee!
In April 2021, the government announced that any adult without a full qualification at Level 3 ( an A level) would be able to get help to gain an in-demand skill and open up further job opportunities with the Life Time Skills Guarantee.
There are almost 400 free courses that will be available to do. These range from health and social care, engineering, welding, Digital Skills and English and Maths. These courses all have opportunities to go in jobs that are in high demand in the UK. They will fill the skills gap and help support building back better.
Under the Life Time Skills, people how are unemployed can take advantage of these courses and will gain an extension to the length of time they can receive Universal Credit while work focused study. You will be able to train full time for up to 12 weeks or up to 16 weeks on a full time skill bootcamp, while still receiving Universal Credit. Giving people more access to training options and a better chance of gaining employment, while still receiving support.
