As the need for adult social care continues to rise, it’s important that care workers have up-to-date support and guidance that allows them to provide the best care possible for the people they work with. If you’d like to work in adult social care, this f course will help you gain an appreciation of what it’s like to work in the sector. You will learn about person-centred care and safe working practices, as well as the importance of safeguarding, equality and diversity, and duty of care.
Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care
All of the courses are fully funded for eligible learners. Eligibility criteria include proof of benefits and ID, lawful residence in the UK for over 3 years, and completion of the Maths & English online assessments.
Fees for selected part-time courses can be waived for students on low incomes, or those who get certain benefits. See our Funding page for further information.
If it’s a HE course you’re interested in, such as a HNC/D or degree, then you can access financial support via the Student Loan Company. Student Loans are only repaid once you’ve completed your course and earn above the income threshold (currently £27,295 per year). Loans can be taken out for tuition fees and for living expenses.
