Office Administrator Assistant

Full time position: Monday – Friday 9am 5pm.

The office administrator assistant will assist in the management of all administration


A successful candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Must be educated to at least sixth form or college level.
  • Must be IT literate
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages is a must.
  • Confident & professional phone manner.
  • Excellent communication skills are required.

Training will be provided. Please note that interviews will take place as soon as possible in our Manchester City centre office.

Salary: £14,000.00 to £17,000.00 /year

Trainer / Assessor  – Oldham

  • To deliver high quality lessons and assess learners in your allocated cohorts.
  • To prepare schemes of work, lesson plans and group profiles.
  • To develop engaging learning materials and activities.
  • To undertake detailed assessment of learners, ensuring that learner portfolios meet the agreed standards and are submitted in a timely manner.
  • To maintain and accurately record attendance, timekeeping and any other records as required.
  • To participate in Free2learn’s quality assurance procedures as directed.
  • Be prepared to work flexibly to meet the needs of learners.


  • To participate in team meetings and staff training and development as required.
  • To ensure the requirements of external agencies such as awarding bodies are met.
  • Promotes and implement all Free2learn’s policies, particularly those which refer to health & safety, Equality & Diversity, British Values, maintaining standards of learner behaviour and Safeguarding young people and vulnerable adults.
  • Participates in appraisal and continuing professional development.
  • To undertake regular Continuous Professional Development activities and keep an up to date record, which will be submitted to Free2learn on a quarterly basis.
  • To operate at all times in line with Free2learn’s values and behaviours.
  • To undertake other duties as may reasonably be required in the interests of the efficient functioning of the Free2learn.
  • To provide evidence of holding valid public liability insurance and professional indemnity insurance (including coverage of Physical Intervention).
  • To provide evidence of registration with HMRC as self-employed.



  • Possess a relevant teaching qualification: e.g. Level 3 PTLLS/AET; Level 4 CTLLS/CET; Level 5 DTLLS/DET; CertEd; B.Ed; PGCE
  • Possess a Level 2 /GCSE Grade C qualification in English and Maths or a willingness to achieve within a specified period e.g. Functional Skills Level 2; GCSE/O’ Level English or Maths at Grade C or above.


  • Possess a relevant assessor qualification: e.g. A1; TAQA; CAVA
  • Degree qualification



  • Must have 3 years experience of teaching in a classroom environment
  • Understanding of relevant Health and Safety requirements.


  • Previous teaching experience, particularly Level 2 Award in Door Supervision/ Level 2 CCTV Operator courses.



  • Demonstrate high levels of organisational skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to be self-directed with initiative and to be able to solve practical problems with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrate a creative and imaginative approach to learner-centred delivery.
  • Demonstrate ability to prepare effective teaching materials in line with course requirements, delivering high quality engaging lessons.
  • Demonstrate ability to work as part of a team and to develop and sustain good working relationships
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge and commitment to Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values.

Receptionist £16,000 – £19,000


  • Serve visitors by greeting and directing them appropriately;
  • A point of contact for departments, ensuring complete synchronisation between all departments;
  • Answer, screen and forward any incoming phone calls when necessary  providing basic information when needed;
  • Update calendars and schedule appointments;
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, collating etc.


  • Computer literate (proficient in Microsoft Office)
  • Professional appearance
  • Ideally the right candidate would have previous experience in admin or a receptionist role
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise
  • Ability to organise, multitask, prioritise and work under pressure.
