Based in South Yorkshire centre
Learning hours: 10am – 4pm, Monday – Friday
Start date: Each Monday, every week
Week 1 & 2: Level 1 Introduction to Health, Care, Children and Young Peoples Settings
- Understand the range of service provision and roles within health and social care
- Introductory awareness of person-centred support in health, social care and children’sand young people’s settings
- Understand the principles and values in health and social care adults and childrenand young people, early years, and childcare
- Introductory awareness of equality and inclusion in health, social care, and children’sand young people’s settings Awareness of protection and safeguarding in health andsocial care adults and children and young people, early years, and childcare
- Introduction to communication in health and social care adults and children andyoung people, early years and childcare
- Introductory awareness of health and safety in health, social care and children’sand young people’s settings
Week 3: Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Dementia Care
- Equality, diversity, and inclusion in dementia care
- The person-centred approach to the care and support of individuals with dementia
- Understand behaviour in the context of dementia
- Understand the administration of medication to individuals with dementiausing a person-centred approach
- Dementia Awareness
- Understand the Benefits of Engaging in Activities in Social Care
- Understand the factors that can influence communication and interactionwith individuals who have dementia
Week 4: Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Infection Control
- Understanding the principles of infection control
- Understanding the causes and spread of infection
- Principles of good practice in the prevention of infection
- 19 years or older
- Proof of benefits and an ID, such as valid passport or driving licence (provisional is also accepted together with birth certificate)
- If not British, we require a resident card/permit issued on the 2017 or before as a proof of living in the UK lawfully for more than 3 years
- If you are a member of the EU, we require a picture of your passport, pre-settled or settled status shared code.
